Initially hard and tannin-dominated, after half an hour in the glass it develops beautiful and smooth richness, with cassis, a lovely cedar note and a dash of a sweetish-peppery undertone. Tailing off after a couple of hour later or so, but holding it together very well, with a finish of about 40 seconds. Could probably be decanted just before drinking.
A remarkable cork for being over 80 years old, without any seepage. 4.25/5.
