THE BALVENIE CARIBBEAN CASK

The Balvenie Caribbean Cask Speyside 43% ABV, matured in an ex-Bourbon and new American Oak casks seasoned with rum:  

On the nose caramelised sugar, nutmeg, and  nice touches of grapefruits also coming through after a while.
In the mouth sweet spices, toasted bread, honey ed vanilla, and lemons; with a pinch of salted caramel and a  touch of marzipan.   The finish  develops some woods and lasts about 50 seconds.  Good and quite a good variety in the development.  June 2021. 3.5/5
