WM Cadenhead is one of Scotland's oldest independent bottlers.  Occasionally they produced their own blends, like Putachieside, Moidart, Campbeltown Loch, and others.

Cadenhead's Putachieside Liqueur Whisky Aberdeen 43%.
Putachieside is a blended whisky from WM Cadenhead, one of Scotland's oldest independent bottlers.  
This brand was called a liqueur whisky, which is an old-fashioned expression for a blend which contains a high percentage of malt. The label depicts the view of Putachieside from the old WM Cadenhead premises of WM Cadenhead in Aberdeen.

 

Colour: dark gold.
A nose of raisins galore, prunes,  and a sweet forest honey - a soft bouquet.
On the palate there was lots of smoke, dried fruit, with a touch of gasoline sharpness.  Later on is turned warm and malty, with a woody aftertaste and a long but quite linear finish of 70 seconds.
