2008 Château La Fleur-Pétrus Pomerol: a rich, dark and ruby colour. On the nose we got ripe cherries, spices and clove. On the palate we had tastes of
rich ripe cherries, blackberries and redcurrant. There was a finely enmeshed tannin backbone with a nice touch of umami and a restrained acidity. The whole was smooth, velvety and
dry, but never unbalanced. It was rich but not very intense and overall a good mouthful, with a finish of 40 seconds. Quite voluptuous and now at peak. Undecanted. Drink
until 2030.
