The opening greets me with a delightful blend of lavender, bergamot and a bit of vetiver. Then then a touch of amber and a very beautiful sandalwood develops, and
in the base notes a very mild, non-sweet tonka mixes with a mildly flowery note. The blending is superb, smooth with a touch of creaminess in the drydown.
This is a very restrained composition from the start, and although for the first couple of hours silage and projection are all right, given copious application,
then it is close to my skin with an overall longevity of about seven hours. It took me a while to appreciate this classic blend with its unobtrusive subtlety.
This Eau de Balenciaga has been a trusted scent in my wardrobe for over a decade now. I came across are slightly different bottle designs - one with blue
writing - but the juice was not significantly different.
