1998 Varramista Toscana (Syrah):  a rich and impressive bouquet fades after the first 1/2 hour, but the remains strong.   On the palate I get  violet, sour cherry and hints of prunes, with strong but not overly intrusive tannins in the background.  A good finish of about 35 seconds. Decant 1/2 hour before serving, drink - 2023.   3.5/5
