GORGONZOLA CHEESE


Milder Gorgonzolas (non-Piccante)

 

Gorgonzola Bonta de la Bonta by the Mauri family:  This cheese is a milder Gorgonzola, not a Piccante; it undergoes 120 days of maturation in caves.  It was sweet, earthy, and displayed a touch of tanginess.  The consistency was creamy and velvety.  Overall it reminded us mild a bit of a Gorgonzola Dolce.  Nice, not heavy, and possibly good for people who like their blue cheeses not too strong.  3.25/5
