Gorgonzola Picante

A blue cheese from Northern Italy; the name originally derived from the town Gorgonzola near Milan.  D.O.P. is the Italian certificate of origin.  Gorgonzola is made form pasteurised cow's milk and can be dolce - sweet - or spicy - picante.   

This Gorgonzola Picante is rich, creamy, not very strong but with good tanginess, but restrained pungency to be pleasantly spicy.  3.5/5
