PERCRISTINA BAROLO

2014 Barolo Percristina Domenico Clerico Barolo made from Nebbiolo grape:  on inpection a rich ruby red,  with a slightly brighter a rich and beautifully intense nose of ripe plums and blackberries.  On the palate it continues a similar theme with blackberries, prunes, ripe black cherries and a note of leather, with tannins and acid that are discreet with a balsamic touch at times and well-balanced.  It is medium-bodied, not intense, with a finish of 30 seconds  drink - 2026. 3.5/5
