2017 Georg Breuer Rüdesheim Berg Schlossberg Riesling: the colour is a medium yellow; the bouquet is very mineral with crisp fresh pears. In the mouth were white peaches with an underlying strong acidity, as well as sour fresh apples, grapefruits and a metallic component towards the end. The acidity becomes more dominant in the finish, which finish lasted about 30 seconds. Initially it is simply a bit too sour, but with a longer time of oxygenation it balanced out nicely to reveal a juicy apple aroma. May one would even consider decanting this white wine???
