RAMOS PINTO PORT

Ramos Pinto 20 year old Quinta do Bom Retiro Tawny Port : a transparent ruby colour that was a bit pale with  a slightly brown hue.  It had a bouquet of sweet raisins, raisin butter, a dense oily component, and a bit of a woody taste in the background.  It is very light-bodies and less sweet  than expected.  There is also a touch of gasoline noticeable.  I has a weak finish of 30 seconds.  The bouquet is the best part.  Drink now. 3/5
