BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO

2006 Cantina di Verbena di Nannetti Luca Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG:  A rich dark ruby colour, with a  very nice bouquet of blackcurrants.  On the palate lots of cassis with hints of cedar and blackberries, with the fruit being pushed a bit into the background by the tannins.  With oxygen it was more balanced and  earthy, with a finish of 30 seconds.  Drink now - 2023.  April 2-019.  3.75/5
