Immediately a clean and green vetiver is noticeable, that is virtually immediately joined by ginger and floral notes, the latter gaining prominence over time,
admixed with a soapy tone that on me stays well in the background. It has a fresh and bright character, with the vetiver playing a team role that is not really very dominant, in spite of it
giving this scent its name.
A straightforward scent from quite natural ingredients that impresses by its fresh directness whilst always being subtle and restrained. Is stays close to my skin displaying adequate sillage initially, with a longevity of about two hours, longer on clothes. A shame it has been discontinued, as
its rarity precludes the reapplications that would be needed to enjoy it throughout the day. Overall a very nice creation that I find preferable to the newer Original Vetiver by the same
House.
The launching year in uncertain; one source mentions 1948, but others cite 1970. I was able to find my last flacon in the UK in about 2012.
